Have just answered the question by going ahead and changing the oil to 15W. A definite improvement though I don't think these big CBF's are going to win any prizes for front end performance. My 600 felt a lot more planted, predictable and confidence inspiring, but then it didn't have this beaut of a 1000 engineswings and roundabouts.
